I am just back from Gastric Sleeve in Tijuana through Trim Up with Kirsten Leonard. WHAT.A.RIDE!! It’s crazy to think this time a week ago I was in hospital having major surgery. The group of ladies I went with were all like minded like me which helped with the nerves and anxiety of traveling to a completely foreign country to have this life changing surgery. I know some people are totally OK doing this on their own, but I am thankful to have had Kirsten with us all the way. Like a mother hen checking in on us, giving us the right advice at the right step, getting us up and about as soon as possible to give us the best chance at the best recovery and making the last part of the trip feel like a tourist on holiday, not a patient in hospital. I will be forever grateful to Kirsten and her team for making this experience so easy to do. The support continues post arriving back home too. Ill message Kirsten with questions, because I always have questions, and she will respond with answers and options. I had my gastric sleeve surgery with Trim Up in Thailand in January and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Initially I would never have considered travelling overseas for surgery due to the risk factors involved, however Kirsten’s experience and knowledge, coupled with the price difference for the same surgery in New Zealand, made it a no-brainer.

Awesome and well-planned trip! Would highly recommend for anyone to go down the gastric bypass/sleeve route. Friendly coordinator and support crew, hospital staff and surgeon were fantastic.

I really enjoyed the trip – it was so good to have everything all planned out for me. I was with a great bunch of people and the accommodations were great. There were a few extra expenses, and for my own need-to-plan-everything  personality, it would have been nice to have the itinerary etc a bit earlier before the trip, but I also fully understood that there was a lot going on at the time. Overall, an excellent experience. Thanks team!
